Build a Custom Tebex Webstore in 5 Minutes
Connect Tebex, pick a theme, publish. The whole flow takes about 5 minutes. Here are the steps, what each one actually does, and which plan unlocks what.

If you sell through Tebex, your webstore is the page customers judge you on. The default Tebex storefront works, but it lives on a shared subdomain you do not control and looks like every other Tebex store. Here is how to wire up a branded one with Taintless. End-to-end takes about 5 minutes if you have your Tebex API key handy.
What you need before you start
A Tebex account with at least one product, your Tebex API key (find it in 30 seconds, see below), and a free Taintless account. No credit card required for the free plan, no DNS work required if you use the platform subdomain.
Before You Start
You need three things:
- A Tebex account with at least one product published
- Your Tebex API key (Tebex dashboard → Settings → Game Server Tokens for Headless API stores, or Developer → API Keys for legacy stores)
- A Taintless account (sign up free if you do not have one)
Find the Tebex API key first. The rest of the flow is faster with it in your clipboard.
Connect Your Tebex Store (~30 seconds)
In your Taintless dashboard, click "New store" and paste the Tebex API key. The first product sync runs immediately. Names, prices, images, categories, and stock counts all come over.
A note on sync cadence. All plans run an automatic background sync every 24 hours, which is enough for most stores. Pro and Ultra additionally get a manual "Sync now" button in the dashboard that pulls fresh data from Tebex within seconds. If you change a product price in Tebex and want it visible to shoppers immediately, that is the upgrade path.
Pick a Theme and Customize (~3 minutes)
The theme picker shows the available themes side by side. Pick one and you'll land in the visual editor. From there:
- Drop your logo and favicon (top of the customizer panel)
- Set primary, accent, and background colors
- Pick a font pair (Geist Sans is the default; Inter and others are available)
- Reorder or hide sections (hero, features, FAQ, product grid)
- Click a section in the preview to select it, then edit copy through the side-panel section editor
The preview is real, not a mockup. What you see is what your customers will see.
Set Up Your Domain (~1 minute, or skip)
Every store gets a free subdomain at yourstore.taintless.dev. That's enough to ship.
If you're on Pro or Ultra and want a custom domain (e.g. store.yourserver.com):
- In Settings → Domain, paste your domain
- Add the CNAME record at your DNS provider (the dashboard shows the exact value)
- We verify and provision SSL automatically, usually under 60 seconds
If verification fails, the dashboard tells you why (wrong record, propagation delay, conflicting AAAA record).
Custom domain caveats most operators hit
DNS changes can take up to a few hours to propagate even though most resolve in seconds. If you have an existing AAAA record on the apex (often left over from old hosting), remove it before adding the CNAME. Cloudflare users: turn the proxy off (grey cloud) for the verification step, then turn it back on after SSL provisions if you want their CDN.
Publish
Hit "Publish" in the top-right. Your store is live within seconds. Share the URL on Discord, your forum, or wherever your community hangs out.
After You Go Live
Open the analytics tab (Pro plan). The first useful signal usually shows up within a few hours of publishing:
- Which products get the most clicks (often not the ones you would guess)
- Where traffic comes from (Discord vs direct vs search)
- Which device split your community uses; mobile-first vs desktop-first changes how you should design
